Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of mechanical pump skids, Piping and VIPs(Vacuum Insulated Piping) across business operations and projects. This role focuses on delivering reliable, manufacturable, and compliant designs while supporting the full engineering lifecycle from concept through production and implementation.

The position plays a key role in product and system design, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, integration, and continuous improvement.

Mechanical & Piping Design & Engineering

• Design mechanical systems, components, and assemblies including piping, VIPs(Vacuum Insulated Piping), pumping skids, and equipment structures
• Develop 2D/3D models and detailed engineering drawings using CAD tools for the above
• Execute piping stress analysis, structural analysis and vibration analysis of the pump skid
• Ensure designs meet functional, structural, and regulatory requirements
• Manage sub-contractors effectively for the fabrication drawings of piping, VIPs and mechanical skids

Engineering Documentation & BOM Management

• Prepare and maintain bill of materials (BOM) and material specifications
• Develop technical documentation, drawings, and design packages
• Prepare material requisitions for above-mentioned items
• Review of vendor documentation for approval and implementation
• Review and validate design deliverables for accuracy and completeness

Project Execution & Cross-functional Coordination

• Coordinate with upstream and downstream engineers inside the engineering organization.
• Coordinate with project, procurement,  construction, commissioning, and other related functions
• Translate technical requirements into design outputs
• Support design implementation throughout project lifecycle

Manufacturing & Fabrication Support

• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure design feasibility
• Support manufacturing processes and resolve design-related issues
• Provide technical guidance during assembly and production

Testing & Validation

• Support product testing, validation, and performance verification
• Assist in identifying design improvements and corrective actions
• Participate in FAT and system validation activities

Continuous Improvement & System Development

• Identify design improvements and optimize engineering processes
• Support standardization of design practices and documentation
• Contribute to engineering system and workflow improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in mechanical skid design, Piping, VIPs and CAD-based engineering
• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.)
• Understanding of fabrication, manufacturing, and materials
• Knowledge of applicable engineering standards (ASME, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (Stress analysis, Structural analysis, Vibration analysis)
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• English communication skills.
