Project Engineer

Nikkiso Energy Infrastructure & Strategic Projects (NESP) is a functional unit of Nikkiso CE&IG that develops and executes turnkey EPC projects (> US$10 MM) globally.

NESP is seeking an experienced professional broadly versed in all areas of mechanical engineering associated with industrial and energy infrastructure projects. Our products and solutions include:

• Package unit for LNG regasification system,
• Package unit for LNG/LPG reliquefaction system
• Package unit for OCCS (On-board carbon capture) of marine application
• Package unit for alternative clean fuel supply systems such as LNG, LPG & NH₃
• Mechanical engineering
  . Equipment design and review for each package unit
  . Drawing creation and design reviewing related to whole equipment for the package units
  . Review of the Client's Specifications and Writing technical proposals
  . Domestic and overseas field test operation and technical supports
  . 3D modeling for each package unit

Position Summary:

We are currently recruiting a responsible Mechanical Engineer to take charge of the project execution. This position, under the direction of NESP's President of Global Production, and with other members of the Senior Management Team, will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical and manufacturing activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Essential Functions:

• 3D modeling of each package unit using SolidWorks or CAD or Other tools
• Mechanical/structure engineering for each package unit
• Rotating and static equipment handling (reviewing/purchasing/confirmation)
• Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
• Direct communication with the customer for the assigned projects.
• Develops project objectives (budget and schedule) by reviewing project proposals and plans and consulting with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reporting schedule performance for project tasks.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
• Controls project costs by reviewing cost implications.
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains project database; entering and backing up data. Excel & Access expertise a plus.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering is preferred.
• Over 7 Years of mechanical engineering experience as Engineer, project management is required.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

• Well understanding of rotating equipment, heat exchangers and pressure Vessels.
• Willingness to travel for short assignments and work onsite
• Multitasking and communication skills
• Exposure to cryogenic or natural gas industry is highly desired.
• Good communication skills, proven discipline to carry out assigned tasks with little supervision and proven Team Player.
• Advance skills in MS Office and Project suites are required.

• Experience with large manufacturing sites or construction facilities is preferred.
• Time management and Organization skills.
• Computer skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, MRP/ERP software, Project Management software.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently be detail-oriented and through.
• English language proficiency is required.
